The History of TEFLON

A young chemist of DuPont, Dr Roy Plunkett discovered TEFLON® by coincidence, while making experiments with cooling gases. This extraordinary non-stick, heat resistant and chemical resistant material was PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene). Lateron it was named TEFLON®. It is a registered trademark, to be used only by DuPont.
